Day 1: Transfer to Ichobezi River Lodge

Clients are met at the Kasane border crossing and taken by boat to the lodge. After arrival at the Ichobezi River Lodge you can settle into your safari tents and then enjoy a light lunch. You will then have the opportunity for an afternoon activity. This could be an evening game cruise within the Chobe National Park on a tender boat with your own guide and a few sundowners to appreciate the spectacular beauty of a Chobe sunset. Dinner is served at 20h00 and this will give you the opportunity to meet your hosts and to leave the table with a greater understanding of the area, the history, the local people and the importance of this very unique part of Africa. It will also hopefully give you the chance to enjoy a superb meal with a selection of wines and spirits.

Day 2: Transfer to the Ichobezi Safariboat

You will have your breakfast at 08h30. Then you will take part in a morning activity of your choice whether it be going with your guide and a tender boat to explore the various waterways around, bird book, binoculars or even fishing rod in hand; or getting your guide to take you on a walk on Impalila Island to learn about its history, meet the local villagers or even to climb our very old and very big Baobab tree which has spectacular views as the reward. A light lunch will be served at 13h30, after which you will be transferred to the Ichobezi Safariboat at 14h00. Spend the afternoon on board the Safariboat enjoying the incredible scenery around you that the elevation of the Safariboat brings. Huge herds of elephant, buffalo and antelope will provide a never ending sense of wonder, and the feeling of cruising on the Safariboat will be an experience you never forget. After docking of the Safariboat, dinner is served at 20h00 with the sounds of the African bushveld providing the evenings entertainment.

Day 3: Ichobezi Safariboat

The day is entirely yours and you are free to spend it as you like. You can laze around the sun deck just watching the constant coming and goings of the wildlife and birds around you. You can take a tender boat with a guide and go looking for up close and personal sightings of the game and get extraordinary photo opportunities. Or you can go off fishing to try and catch (and then release) the elusive Tiger fish. Generally breakfast is served at 08h30 and lunch at 13h00 but we are very flexible so if you would like to re-arrange these times to suit you better you would just need to let us know at dinner the night before (i.e. if you want to get up really early and then come back for brunch at 10h30 or 11h00 this would be perfectly fine with us).

Day 4: Transfer to Ichingo Chobe River Lodge

Transfer from the Ichobezi Safariboat back to the Ichingo Chobe River Lodge. Here you will have the opportunity to once again explore the surrounding area, while taking part on the activities the lodge has to offer. These activities include:

• Game viewing by tender boat with a knowledgeable guide

• Excellent birding opportunities • Guided walks on Impalila Island and on the Caprivi floodplain

• Superb fishing all year round especially for those wanting to fish for Tiger

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast you will be transferred back to Kasane. From here you will depart to your next destination. Please note: Flights and /or road transfers to and from the Kasane border crossing can be organized on request.
