Day 1: Flight to NamibRand Nature Reserve and Wolwedans Dune Camp

This safari has daily departures based on a minimum of 1 guest travelling. Depart from Eros Airport in Windhoek with a Cessna 210 or Cessna Caravan to the NamibRand Reserve. Check-in at the Wolwedans Dune Camp, which lies in a beautiful valley surrounded by wilderness. In the afternoon you will take part on a scenic drive, which can also be combined with a sundowner drive.

Overnight: Wolwedans Dune Camp including accommodation, all meals, standard bar beverages, park fees and ground activities

Day 2: Wolwedans Dune Camp

Today you will take part on a morning and afternoon excursion in an open 4x4 vehicle. While travelling through dunes, grassy plains and along mountain formations, you will also see the mysterious fairy circles. Along the way, you could come across large and small desert animals – your ranger will tell you more about their habitats and environment.

Overnight: Wolwedans Dune Camp including accommodation, all meals, standard bar beverages, park fees and ground activities

Day 3: Wolwedans Dune Camp

Another day spent at the NamibRand Reserve. The entire day can be spent at leisure, where you can once again take part in the activities offered by the camp, such as: • scenic drives There are three options, the morning, afternoon or full day drive. These drives take place in open 4x4 vehicles and allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature together with a ranger who will give you more information and answer any questions you might have about the area and its inhabitants. • sundowner drive This is a 1-2 hour drive and can be combined with an afternoon scenic drive. Watch the amazing sunset from one of the dunes with a drink of your choice. Alternatively you can take part in hot-air ballooning, where you can admire the stark beauty of the Namib for about an hour, before having a champagne breakfast at the landing spot (activity at own expense – please see activities for more details).

Day 4: Tok Tokkie Trail

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Tok Tokkie Homestead. After a brief introductory meeting, your guide will take you on a scenic drive to the starting point of the educational adventure. After a long and interesting walk you will spend the night in a sleeping bag and under the Namibian sky.

Overnight: Under the Namibian sky including sleeping bag, three meals, coffe/tea and soft drinks

Day 5: Tok Tokkie Trail

After some coffee/tea and a light breakfast you will be heading out to the breathtaking dunes and watch the colours in the rising sun. Experience the awakening of the oldest living desert in the world, while your guide tells you more about the sensitive ecosystem, tracks or the survival strategies of plants and animals.

Overnight: Under the Namibian sky including sleeping bag, three meals, coffe/tea and soft drinks

Day 6: Departure

Once again you will have an early for breakfast, before making your way back to the homestead. Transfer back to Wolwedans landing strip for your flight back to Windhoek.
