Desert Express, Namibia's unique rail experience offers a weekly journey between Windhoek, the capital of Namibia and Swakopmund, our premier coastal resort. Desert Express has 24 en-suite compartments, which are fully air-conditioned. Compartments convert into bedrooms for the evening and sleep up to three people (2 Adults, 1 Child). These aforementioned compartments are contained in Kokerboom, Oryx, Springbok and Meerkat. The additional coaches Spitzkoppe and Welwitschia, offer guests with a unique opportunity to experience Namibian hospitality in our VIP lounge, restaurant and informal Bar.
